Tafl Chess is the 16th entry in the contest and Pablo David Garaguso’s second contribution. Far from action games that demand quick decisions, Pablo once again challenges players in a battlefield where strategy is your best weapon. All this in the form of a chess game, but not the standard chess game the audience expects.
Tafl is a group of ancient Northern European strategy board games. Among all the different variants, Tafl Chess is based on the Hnefatafl version (also referred as Viking chess) where you must follow precise rules depending on the side chosen. By playing the defender’s side, make sure to let the king reach any of the four corners. By playing the attacker’s role, capture him above all.
Tafl Chess is an enjoyable production that features three different levels of difficulty and PSG sound. It will delight strategy board game lovers looking for a new challenge. God save the King!
