We have heard how Replicants are treated as slaves in the far corners of the galaxy, used as labor for mining. But how do they get trained? And how dangerous can a mining operation be anyway?
Quite dangerous actually, so much so that you rather get some virtual training before you get into them. That is where Tanhauser Gate comes into play as the simulation used to train the replicants. They are expensive to build, you don’t want them to be destroyed by the first deathly robot they encounter out there!
And when the last energy bar of your last life is gone, you can go outside in the dark and rainy night to proudly say:
“I’ve played games you people wouldn’t believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I shot C-beams at murderous robots playing Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die.”
