Uncover unheard levels sample music
MSX music composer Omega has been kind enough to sponsor MSXdev with two physical editions of his latest OPL4 chip based musical release named “Cerium”.
The heyday of the 90s MSX demo scene was flooded with music disks, usually with FM based ditties. The OPL4 never got much attention, but composer Omega decided it was time to demonstrate its potential using modern-day capabilities. Enjoy 16 megs of pure sample goodness stored on a flash cart. From early house tracks to modern EBM (electronic body music), all of it can be enjoyed on your beloved MSX2 computer, fully utilizing the 2MB RAM of your OPL4 sound card.
Due to its size you will need an external card reader to make use of it. Grab your MFR, Pico, Carnivore 2 or alike and insert or copy that SD card, darken your room and enjoy. This physical release is a limited edition, making it even more special.
If you are interested in obtaining a digital edition for yourself, you can get it from the Cerium page. Want to have a physical edition for yourself, acquire it here or even better enter the competition!
