Super Sokoban with more levels, more music, more fun
The game Super Sokoban from MSXdev24 made its way back home in a box. Released as a ROM cartridge, it became part of the winner’s loot for MSXdev25, available to those who claimed victory.
When former MSXdev participants contribute their games to the loot box, it brings us so much joy. We love seeing MSXdev games get properly published and find new homes with lucky winners. It’s truly a win-win situation, literally. The team at 2NICE, who introduced us to Super Sokoban during the MSXdev24 event, did exactly that; they gave their game the ROM treatment and added it to the loot box. Awesome!
Super Sokoban is a variation of the classic Sokoban game, adapted for MSX2 with SCC. Following its release in MSXdev24, the team enhanced the game by adding more levels and music, eventually publishing it as a physical ROM cartridge, complete with a boxed and printed edition. One copy has been set aside for the MSXdev25 winners’ loot box.
We wouldn’t call it too nice, but definitely do appreciate this generous gift from the 2NICE guys. And we’re confident that participants do as well.. So, thank you!
If you’re like us and love to have MSXdev games on cartridge, give 2NICE a visit as they are selling physical copies to all that cherish the MSX computer system. Grab yours at https://2nicemsx.nl/ and move those crates!
