From the Retrohacker we received a PicoVerse 2350 cartridge to give away to any winner. This is not just a ROM cartridge, it is your new base location. Lift of, enjoy it.
We were recently gifted a Picoverse 2040 cartridge by the Retrohacker, and now this Brazilian hardware wizard has added another masterpiece to the mix, its big brother, the PicoVerse 2350. This multi-functional beast packs microSD, WiFi, USB, a memory mapper, and plenty of audio capabilities. All of it comes wrapped with its built-in explorer software.
It’s tough to know where to begin with this multifunctional MSX extension, it’s so versatile it almost feels unfair. At its core lies the explorer, the heart of the cartridge. Booting into the explorer unlocks a variety of features, from running your ROMs or other software with Nextor to booting a ROM directly from microSD storage, or even browsing for that ROM online with the TFH browser – yes, it has WiFi too.
Then, the PicoVerse 2350 can route several emulated audio devices through the cartridge’s path, depending on the selected ROM. It supports MSX sound standards like SCC/+, dual PSG, MSX-Music and OPL4.
See, it’s a beast and it can be yours.
This magnificent piece of MSX hardware was generously added to the loot box by The Retrohacker, and we are truly grateful to have it in our possession. Thank you!
