GS Soccer

This is a port of the soccer video game that appeared in the 1980s on Casio watches (model GS-11).
Below is a YouTube video that features that watch:

The game takes its name from the watch model, “GS SOCCER.”

Unlike the version on the original watch, the MSX version I developed allows two players to play against each other, making the match more engaging and enjoyable. I deliberately did not add music in order to stay as faithful as possible to the philosophy of the original game.

Each match lasts 60 seconds. When playing against the computer, the white team is used; otherwise, each player controls their own team.

Controls: keyboard or joystick
•	White team: Right arrow / Left arrow to move, Up arrow / Space bar to shoot.
•	Black team:
A / S keys to move left and right, and the W key to shoot.

It is only possible to shoot when there is no opponent directly in front of you, and the shooting direction is always determined by the CPU.
I hope this simple game can provide a few moments of fun to those who play it.

The game is in 16 KB ASCII ROM format and works on all MSX machines from the first generation onward.
